Caption Associates LLC was formed in 2005 and is owned and operated by Anne Schulman, a recognized professional and leader in the captioning industry. As a teacher of deaf and hard-of-hearing students, Anne saw the importance of closed-captioned videos for her students’ use in the classroom setting, and established a grant-funded video captioning project in her school district in the early ‘90s.
As her interest in and knowledge of the closed-captioning industry developed, Anne decided to leave teaching and dedicate her career from that point on to providing quality offline and real-time captioning services to the video and television industry. Anne was a founding and managing partner of Caption Services of Kansas, LLC from 1995-2005, and then in 2005,
